Frequently asked questions
Do I need to register for Sadhana or Kirtan?
No. Aquarian Sadhana (every day, 5:30 to 8:00 am) and Kirtan (every day, 6:30 to 7:00 pm) are open to everyone, by donation, with no registration.
Do I need yoga experience?
No. Kundalini Yoga classes and retreats welcome both beginners and experienced practitioners.
Is there anything to keep in mind at Sadhana?
Out of respect for everyone, please don't wear strong perfume or scents.
Who can come to the Gurdwara?
Everyone, of any faith or tradition. Gurdwara is on Saturdays at 6 pm, followed by Langar, the shared meal, at 7 pm.
Can I stay at the Ashram for a few days?
Yes, by prior arrangement: as a Bed & Breakfast guest, on a personal retreat or on the 5 or 10-day Ashram Stay. Write to booking@ramdassguru.pt for availability and prices.
Do children pay?
For stays and the Seva Program, children are welcome and stay for free up to the age of 12.
What are the meals like?
Meals at the Ashram are vegan and shared in community: breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Can I try it out before applying for the Seva Program?
Yes. We recommend staying a few days as a guest or doing short-term seva, from 14 days, before a longer program.
How do I get there without a car?
From Lisbon, take the metro to Rossio, the train to Portela de Sintra and the Carris Metropolitana bus 1633 to Santa Susana. Full directions are on the Visit page.
How much is membership?
The annual fee is €25. It gives 10% off regular activities, 5% off retreats and access to the library and co-working space.
